ABOUT US

We Can Save More Lifes With Your Helping Hand.

Global Aid Missions (GAM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with albinism since its inception in 2007. GAM, now in its 18th year, operates as a Trust in Zimbabwe and has a 501(c)(3) registration in the United States, allowing it to engage in cross-border charity activities. The organization is well-known for its pioneering work in providing complete support to people living with albinism, particularly through its specialized clinic in Harare, Zimbabwe. This clinic is significant for being the first and only of its sort in the country, highlighting GAM's position as a pioneer in this narrow yet vital area of healthcare. The organization's major goal is to give free medical help, provide important topical creams such as sunscreen lotions, and provide psychological services and advocacy to people with albinism. GAM sources all medical supplies from a network of partners to ensure constant and high-quality service delivery.

Organizational Structure and Workforce

Making Life a Living Exepirence

The GAM leadership team is comprised of qualified professionals each with some expertise in their designated areas. This team which is led by the CEO is made up a Managing Director, an Administrator, a PR person and a Programs Manager. These members work together in making the organization's strategic decisions and seeing them through. The clinic on the other hand is also run by a group of qualified members in its endeavor to deliver high quality care. This team consists of an administrator, a medical doctor, two nurses, a resident counsellor, a receptionist, and a caretaker. This team is very important to our clinical operations as they serve an average of 40-50 albinism patients every day, in addition to providing general public services. It is this strong total leadership team that is the driving force to achieving both the charity's administrative as well as the clinic's broad service offerings.

Operational Capacity and Potential

Only Albinism Clinic in the Country

Global Aid Missions has the adequate personnel and infrastructure that is well suited to effectively addressing the needs of its patient population. By virtue of the clinic’s ability to serve up to 50 patients per day, it is evident that its efficiency and availability to service levels are adequate to its task. Nevertheless, it being the only albinism clinic in the country presents opportunities for growth to satisfy the needs and demands for its target market throughout the country. There is a huge possibility of our organization to increase its output and broaden its reach and influence through the creation of more alliances and an increase in resources. Such an expansion will have the effect of expanding our services, accommodating more patients as well as advancing our objectives. GAM’s strategic mission centers around looking for opportunities to increase its operations and strengthen its infrastructure. When it does this, GAM will be poised to remain as a pillar of support for the community of people it serves.

GAM offers education and advocacy

Our main product is the albinism clinic, which provides free healthcare services to people with albinism in Zimbabwe.

In addition to the clinic, GAM offers education and advocacy activities to raise awareness about the difficulties that people with albinism encounter. Individuals with albinism in Zimbabwe are the organization's major market.
