OPPORTUNITIES
There are various potential prospects for Global Aid Missions to pursue in light of the significant transformation in the global business landscape. The main area of focus is expanding our medical clinic program to reach more people with albinism in areas with limited access to healthcare. As disability rights and activism take center stage on the political agenda, Global Aid Missions may benefit from increased funding, resources, and relationships with government organizations. On June 9, 2021, Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa presented the country's national disability policy in Harare. The Policy aims to "address the marginalization and discrimination of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), empower them to improve their own quality of life, and enable them to contribute to the national development agenda" (UNESCO, April 2023). As a result, there may be more public awareness and support for the organization's mission, as well as greater impact and reach for our beneficiaries.
Extending its services outside of Zimbabwe to other countries in the area could be a source of future growth. GAM may consider collaborating with other organizations in order to broaden its reach and impact. Because of greater awareness and acceptance of people with disabilities and differences, the organization's mission may receive more support and advocacy, and the need for its services may grow.' Tens of thousands of Africans are albino, according to the estimated prevalence of albinism. This study emphasizes the importance of raising albinism knowledge and adopting public health initiatives to better serve this vulnerable population's physical, psychological, and social needs.
Another area of emphasis is the development of new educational programs to increase knowledge and understanding of albinism and its difficulties. Our lobbying efforts may be broadened on a global scale to promote the rights and well-being of people with albinism. The organization may look into new fundraising avenues such as crowdfunding or social media campaigns to reach a bigger audience and increase donations.
The depletion of the ozone layer and the rise in sea levels caused by greenhouse gases emitted by a variety of industries are becoming increasingly worrying. These environmental changes can have a significant impact on people with albinism, especially because their lack of melanin predisposes them to skin damage and skin cancer. This is one of the most important reasons to justify the growth of the health program through the clinic projects. Through it there’s scope for collaboration to support research and development of innovative and sustainable products that can help protect people with albinism's skin from the harmful effects of UV radiation and other environmental stressors. This might involve creating new forms of sunscreen tailored exclusively for people with albinism, as well as other sun-protective apparel and accessories.
